Rehabilitation
Getting back on your feet after surgery or an injury is not always easy. The Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Unit offers progressive care with a personal touch. Individualized rehabilitation and nursing programs are designed for each patient to maximize independent functioning. We use advanced and therapeutic techniques within an interdisciplinary team approach. Our Care Plan Team includes physicians, nurses, dietitians, social service workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and activities personnel that work together as a therapeutic team to tailor a rehabilitation program for the individual needs of the resident.
Physical Therapy
The focus of physical therapy is to increase strength, regain balance and build endurance. We assist the residents in regaining physical
mobility, improve walking skills, and enable step or stair management.
Occupational Therapy
The focus of occupational therapy is enhancing the skills an individual requires to achieve independence in their activities of daily living
such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. Occupational therapists also assist to improve home management skills such as preparing meals, doing laundry or light housework.
Speech Therapy
The focus of speech therapy is to improve speech and communication, address swallowing disorders and assist with memory deficits.
